The
Riordan Foundation proudly supports organizations that promote
the education and well-being of young children and their families,
and improve the quality of life in Los
Angeles. These direct grants are invitation-only
and offered to a small number of qualified non-profit agencies
primarily in the greater Los
Angeles area. Funding priority is given
to technology, school choice, and leadership development programs.

SMART Classroom Technology Grant
Provides
teachers in K- 12 classrooms with the latest technology
in interactive whiteboards. The grant also includes
the option of a laptop, projector, and student response
systems.

Language Development
Supports
oral language skill development using technology in
K-2 classrooms or labls. The grant includes computer
hardware, software, installation, warranty, and training.

Recreational
Reading
Mini-Grants
Provides $1,000
for K-5 classrooms to purchase recreational reading
books for students to read at school and home.

Waterford Early Reading Program
WERP personal workstations provide individualized, computer-based reading instruction. Lessons are efficiently tailored to the varying needs of students and encourage independent learning in a risk-free environment. Contains data-collection system for assessing student progress, allowing teachers to evaluate individual student performance and class trends. Grant includes hardware, software, installation, warranty and training.
