Wireless Laptop Lab

A special initiative of The Riordan Foundation's 25th Anniversary. Provides schools with a portable, space-saving alternative to desktop computer labs. Includes laptops, wireless access point, mobile security cart, instructional software, installation, warranty and support. Computers in the Classroom

Award-winning after-school program that motivates fourth-grade students to learn touch-typing with speed and accuracy. Rewards participants with a refurbished computer upon completion of the program. Includes 15-20 refurbished computers with "Type to Learn" software and instructor training and stipend. By invitation only; LAUSD and Archdiocese of Los Angeles labs; minimum 15-station computer labs

Charter School Student Outreach Grant

Riordan Foundation recognizes that charter schools in California operate on tight budgets and that the costs associated with intense student outreach efforts can be challenging. For this reason, The Riordan Foundation, through Rx for Reading, is offering grants in the range of $10,000-$15,000 for charter schools to conduct extensive student outreach K-5 Charter Schools in LA County.
