CIC Eligibility and Application Information
To be eligible for the Spring 2012 Computers in the Classroom program, schools must meet the following criteria:

Only public and parochial schools within Los Angeles County may apply.

This grant is only for K-12 classrooms and labs.

At least 50% of students at the school must qualify for free or reduced lunch (parochial schools included).

Applicant school must be able to provide 50% of the total cost of its desired equipment configuration.

Applicant school must demonstrate a commitment to integrating technology into daily curriculum.

Applicant may only apply for one Rx for Reading grant every 24 months.
Applications are due April 20th by midnight. Applicants will receive email notification that their submissions have been received. A decline letter will be sent to all schools that are not selected to be a part of this grant cycle. Should an application be selected for further evaluation, an Rx representative will contact the institution to schedule a site visit. Upon notification of award, schools have six months to provide the challenge portion for the grant, which is 50% of the total cost of the selected equipment configuration.
The Computers in the Classroom Grant is by invitation only and the date to submit a letter of inquiry has passed. Applications will be available to invited schools on March 20th.
