Professional Development Grant

The Professional Development Grant was established to further assist our partner schools and teachers in the successful implementation of previously awarded TRF grants. Schools that received the Interactive Whiteboard (formerly SMART Classroom Technology) or Computers in the Classroom Grants are eligible to apply for additional support in the integration of the hardware and software provided. This support may include funding to purchase professional development for on or offsite trainings and conferences, as well as funding for substitutes that would allow teachers to attend trainings.

As with our other technology programs, the professional development grant includes a 50% challenge portion to be contributed by the school. We will be selecting proposals that demonstrate the school and faculty's commitment to improved use of technology, reflect a well-thought-out plan for ongoing development and that implement a system for evaluating the effectiveness of the grant.

This program is only available to previous recipients of the Interactive Whiteboard Grant or the Computers in the Classroom Grant.
